Since Sandusky is a plein-air artist, painting on the beach offers a particular challenge. He takes his easel and canvas out early in the morning to rough-in his scene and then as people arrive on the beach, he adds them to the stage he has set.
Sandusky's recent most recent book is Jacksonville Through a Painter’s Eyes. His first book, New Orleans en Plein Air, was followed by Painting Katrina.
