Donna Johnson is an accomplished artist; however, she is also a Jungian psychotherapist who is a registered and board certified art therapist and a licensed clinical social worker.

In 2008 she received her MA in painting (specializing in encaustic painting) from Savannah College of Art & Design. She had previously studied painting at Wake Forest University where she earned her BA in psychology. She also earned a BFA from the University of Tennessee.

Johnson works primarily in encaustic and cold-wax. The process she employs to create her paintings is quite involved, but the results are stunning. The content of the paintings often reflect her interest in human interactions.
