1991-1992 - Art Teacher, Riviere Elementary School, Metairie, Louisiana

• Grant Project for Kindergarten through Sixth - a school-wide Mural Project from conception of wall plans to execution of painting.

1988-1992  Artist in Residence, Louisiana Children’s Museum, New Orleans, LA

• Taught workshops, including figure drawing and sculpture.
• Conceived and curated three elementary school art exhibitions for the museum.

 

1981-1982  East Baton Rouge Parish Migrant Education Program

• Taught summer session in Art to Migrant children
• Curated culminating Children’s Art Shows at Baton Rouge Gallery

1967-1985  Art Teacher, Walnut Hills Elementary School, Baton Rouge, LA

 

• Developed Art curriculum for the school (grades Kindergarten through Sixth.)
• Taught color theory, painting, drawing, and sculpting.
• Geared programs to special needs children.
• Created and ran lunch time and recess independent studies programs in music and art.
• Curated Children’s Art Exhibitions.
