Mythological wood nymphs frolic as they go about their business of bringing order to nature. Fields of poppies reach toward the sky.
Or should the painting actually be titled Reveille alluding to the poem by John McCrae In Flanders Fields ? After World War I the poppies sprang up in a battle field where many soldiers were lost. The poppy became a symbol of remembrance. Beauty sprang up from those who perished.
Revelry shown with Moonflowers on Blue and Guanacaste Lace at Sunset.
