Revelry

Mythological wood nymphs frolic as they go about their work of bringing order to nature.  Fields of poppies climb toward the sky.

Or should the painting actually be titled Reveille, alluding to John McCrae's poem In Flanders Fields ? After World War I the poppies sprang up in a battle field where many soldiers were lost. The poppy became a symbol of remembrance. Beauty emerged from the sacrifice of those who perished.
