Submission Guidelines
Please take a few minutes to tour our site to become familiar with the work we show and our gallery philosophy. Our emphasis is not on a particular technique or style, but we do look for works that are compatible with the other art that we show.
- We represent artists who have created a body of work that shows they are serious in pursuit of art as a career. The works must exhibit content as well as skilled craftsmanship.
- We are not inclined toward "shocking" and "angry" art.
- We do not show reproductions - including glicées and other mechanically created works, and we do not represent artists who produce these works.
- Works that are framed must meet archival standards.
Step 1:
- We prefer digital JPEG files for our initial viewing. You may submit a cd, dvd, e-mail or a link to a web site. If you send e-mail images, please limit image sizes and put "artist submission" in the reference block.
- We will accept slides and materials via mail, but we cannot assume responsibility for lost or damaged materials and will only return the materials if you provide a postage-paid return envelope.
- We want to see a portfolio of 20 works that are currently available and that have been created by you in the last two years.
- Indicate title, size, medium, and sales price of each piece.
- Include a current biography including, education, press, current gallery affiliations, past exhibitions and one-person shows.
- We require an artist's statement.
- Don't forget to include your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address! We'll request more information if we need it.
Step 2:
- If we see that there is a potential for accepting your work, we will notify you by mail or e-mail.
- At that point we would want to see print-outs of some of the images that would give us a better idea of the quality of the work.
