Aerial is defined by layered color and abstract forms. A muted light blue background provides a broad, neutral field over which blocks of muted colors interact, creating subtle depth and spatial tension.
The placement of colors and shapes allows some elements to advance while others recede, producing a sense of weightlessness, visual movement, and suspended space, as if the shapes float above the background matrix.
In this work, Callahan continues his examination of the relationships between color and form, allowing structure itself to become the source of expression.
